Scholarships at Global Research Fellowship

Global Research Fellowship is built for ambitious high-school students who want to conduct serious academic research with real mentorship.

We know that cost can be a barrier for strong students. That is why GRF offers a limited number of merit-based and need-informed scholarships for each cohort.

GRF scholarships can cover up to 50% of total tuition fees. At this stage, our financial aid is funded directly by the founders, not by donations, grants, or outside scholarship funds. This means scholarship availability is limited and reviewed carefully for each cohort.

Our scholarships are designed for students who show exceptional intellectual curiosity, discipline, and the ability to produce serious work over an 8-week research cycle.

What Scholarships Cover

Scholarships may reduce the cost of either the Core Track or Advanced Track by up to 50% of total tuition fees, depending on the student’s application strength, financial circumstances, and available founder-funded aid for that cohort.

Scholarship awards are limited and reviewed individually. Receiving a scholarship does not reduce the level of mentorship, support, or expectations placed on the student.

Every GRF student, including scholarship recipients, receives the same level of academic guidance, mentor access, and publication support.

Who We Look For

Scholarship candidates are not selected based on grades alone.

We look for students who demonstrate:

  • A serious interest in research, writing, economics, finance, STEM, public policy, social science, or another rigorous academic field

  • Strong motivation to build a real research paper over 8 weeks

  • Evidence of independent thinking, intellectual maturity, or unusual curiosity

  • The ability to commit consistently to the program

  • A clear reason why financial support would make participation more accessible

You do not need to have prior research experience to be considered. What matters most is seriousness, curiosity, and follow-through.

Types of Scholarships

  • Merit-based scholarships are awarded to students with strong academic potential, serious interests, or impressive independent work.

This may include strong grades, competitions, research ideas, writing samples, projects, leadership, or demonstrated excellence in a specific field.

  • Need-informed scholarships are considered for families where the full program fee would create a meaningful financial burden.

Students may be asked to briefly explain their financial circumstances during the application process. In some cases, additional documentation may be requested.

Scholarship Expectations

GRF scholarships are awarded to students we believe can take full advantage of the program.

Scholarship recipients are expected to:

  • Attend mentor sessions consistently

  • Complete assigned research and writing work on time

  • Communicate professionally with their mentor and GRF team

  • Take feedback seriously

  • Work toward a final paper they can genuinely stand behind

At GRF, we believe a scholarship is a commitment from both sides. We aim to guide those who seek excellence toward it.

How to Apply For A Scholarship?

Students interested in scholarship consideration should complete the GRF application form and indicate that they would like to be considered for financial support.

After reviewing the application, selected students may be invited for a short interview or mentor-fit conversation.
